During the week it’s pretty full on. We make our own granola which in the morning is easy to pour and full of good carbs, proteins and fats to keep the littles full until their mid morning snack and lunch. We don’t do cereal, simply because it’s not healthy and doesn’t keep the kids satiated until their next snack. Children use lots of energy at school, both physically and mentally and if they’re coming home grumpy and starving it’s mostly because they’ve not had the right foods to get them through the day.
At breakfast we’re spinning lots of plates. We try to get the animals checked and fed, I often have early morning 1-2-1’s and the older two to get to school with packed lunch. Agatha is at pre-school three days a week too. Athelstan, our 5am riser gets his breakfast super early just to try and keep him quiet! Since we’re up early to do the farm and work, and whilst the kids are fed properly I find it hard to eat a meal before lunch so I usually grab a smoothie on the run. I make sure it’s full of good fats and protein to keep me full and get some healthy stuff into my body before I’ve grabbed myself a coffee and it all goes out the window! See below for the recipe!
If you’re struggling to eat breakfast, I get it. I understand that crazy morning juggle and this is where a smoothie could save you if you haven’t got time to sort anything else.
Weekends are still a rush. The animals still need doing but we can push it back a little bit. Sundays I try not to do any 1-2-1’s so this is a day for healthy but scrummy pancakes! Who doesn’t love a pancake and if you’re going to do it, why not pack as much good stuff in as you can promoting the children’s growth and your skin and health at the same time. Recipe to come!

OESTROGEN AIDING OMEGA LOVING SMOOTHIE
I love this shake. I add lots of healthy fats to help my skin and hormones regulate. Flaxseed is a brilliant superfood which has high levels of Omega 3’s, fibre and lignans which are antioxidants. The green powder is for a ‘pick me up’ instead of a coffee, and the chia seeds are a great protein source to keep you feeling fuller for longer. The spinach is full of vitamins and minerals including zinc and folate which is important in immune function and fertility.
INGREDIENTS:
Big handful of spinach
Half a banana
Quarter of an avocado
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp flaxseed
1 tsp of green matcha powder Nut milk of your choice 200ml
METHOD:
Blitz!

So impressed you have done all of this…. have subscribed for more…..!
